I have not! But I remember as a kid Costas doing all the mlb playoff games while watching wth my old man. I'm 39 now and brings me joy hearing him call a game..love what he does. Maybe cause it brings back memories but man I love his call

Costas and his wife has reservations at this fancy Italian restaurant in Little Italy.
They walk in and gets seated. Two tables over is John Gotti, his wife, and another couple close to the Gotti's.
John Gotti turns to his wife and says in a low voice but just loud enough for Costas hear him say "Do you know who that is? That's Bob Costas, the greatest sportscaster of all time"
Pretty much at the same time Costas says to his wife "Do you know who that is? That's John Gotti, the most notorious mob figure of all time"

From what I hear Gotti bought Costas a drink.

That's awesome! I been to little Italy a bunch of times. Long story short my Grandmother was a huge Yankee fan. She was blind since my father was in high school. She taught other blind kids in NY how to read braille. We would get the train from Ct to Ny and she would walk ne to the stadium as an 8 year old as she was blind. She knew everyone in the old stadium and was treated very well. To this day my father will not step into the new Yankee stadium since she has passed away..thinks the new stadium is bullshit and didn't need it.
