This is exactly right. I got the feeling he managed with his heart even when it would hurt the team. Trotting Strop out there time after time in high leverage situations was beyond me.

He was basically given a dynasty roster and all he did was barely and I mean barely win one world series. Even in that series he got lucky the Indians injury problems wore them out.

He literally did terrible with this star studded roster.

Now before someone makes excuses for him about how they have no bullpen etc in the regular season you can win 95 games with the roster they have.
