It is way too early to be thinking about this, but to satisfy your curiosity, they would NOT make the playoffs if the other four power five conference winners lost one game or less. They play in the weakest conference by far. If they lose a game, I cannot see them finishing ahead of a 0 or 1 loss Ohio State and/or Oklahoma. A one loss Pac 12 team would also finish ahead of them. If their loss came in the conference championship game, then teams like Georgia and LSU, with one loss, would finish ahead of them.

It is a long season. This weeks games are really crap. You get Auburn at Florida (Auburn -2 1/2). Iowa goes to Michigan (-4 1/2). The rest are really meaningless as far as the playoffs are concerned. One good game. One Big 10 game that may or may not mean anything, and a bunch of other games to determine who goes to which Mickey Mouse Bowl Game.
