His charities have been fined and now he isn’t allowed to form one because of his corruption owning one. He set up a sham college where again he had to pay out his ass because it was a sham. This is reality and if you are to gullible to notice this that is on you. During the republican debates each opponent told you naive people what kind of conman this guy was. #253I don't think the Dems have the Balls to impeach after the disaster this has been, but I never underestimate the stupidity of the far left, so there is a chance. I think the moderate Dems would vote no or present if push comes to shove. If he is impeached it will be by a just a few votes.
However he will not be removed from office, there is zero chance of him being convicted in the senate by a two-thirds majority. I also think the Dems know a senate trial will be ugly for them, combine that with the IG report being released and the independent investigation that has become a criminal investigation and 2020 looks pretty bleak for them let a lone removing Trump from office.Last edited by mgcolby; 11-25-19, 11:49 AM.Comment -

2020 will be interesting to see how the Democratic party handles the loss. Think it will be tough for so many self centered, special rights interest groups with conflicting agendas to hold it together. Right now its the enemy of my enemy is my friend. What happens when they realize they can't beat their common enemy? I think they turn on each other, its already started in some circles. Navratilova calling out Transgendered men competing in female sports. Liberal comedians calling out far left thought police, cancel culture etc... It will only get worse when they start looking for who's to blame for four more years of Trump.Comment -

#256The Presidency? I would put near zero, today. Things can change but they have spent the past year doing nothing, as the majority, except passing radical partisan bills they know will never get picked up in the Senate while 100% focused on undoing an election for the past 3 years. Not saying the Republicans did any better when in majority, both parties pretty much suck. However one party has gone so far to the left and is completely out of touch with the majority of Americans, and basically flies in the face of American values. The house depends on voter turnout, but they may keep that. No chance at the senate.

2016 was obvious to anyone who took the time to dig into it a bit. Every poll accept the LA Times poll had a built in bias for Hillary and had her winning, they were over polling Democrats anywhere from 8-13% with the lone exception being the LA Times poll. Which if memory serves me correctly had around a 3% Dem advantage and showed Trump up by 2-3 points. Other things, none of which is scientific by any stretch of the imagination, were signs, bumper stickers etc.. I live in Northern VA and I didn't see a single Hillary bumper sticker on a car, there were hardly any Hillary signs. In 2008 and 2012 all anyone saw were Obama signs and stickers. 2016 was all Trump. Again not scientific but definitely notable, especially in regards to which side was more excited about their candidate. Shit I saw way more Bernie stickers and signs than Hillary.
The democrats are making the exact same mistakes they did in 2016. Identity politics is a loser and they have doubled down on it. You can't call every straight white guy a racist, a homophobe a sexist etc... simply because they disagree with you. That is how they lost Wisconsin, PA and Michigan. I would add PA also was going to be tough if not impossible, after Hillary went and told the coal miners that I am going to put you out of business. The majority of those coal miner employees were Democrats until then.Last edited by mgcolby; 11-26-19, 12:06 PM.Comment -

In my opinion, Trump is proving to be much more of a risk to this country than I thought he would be. He's basically a wanna be dictator. Unfortunately, most of the Dems running are so far left that it wouldn't surprise me if they lose again. I would say the Books have it right right now. Come election time, I think the line will be much sharper. Obviously the polls and the Books got it wrong last time. Don't count on the Books being wrong this time around just because they were wrong last time. It's not unusual for Books to get things wrong but they are right more often than not. I don't think they will be nearly as far off this time around.
I'm not a Democrat, but I think Trump is the most dangerous President we've ever had and it's not even close. People might not see it now... but in retrospect I think it will be obvious to almost everyone. He's a loose cannon. It wouldn't surprise me at all if this country doesn't survive his presidency if he gets re-elected.
Also... like it or not... Trump gets a lot of negative media coverage because he's a pathological lying conman. Are we to believe that every single network on the planet is conspiring against Trump? Even Fox news often covers him negatively.
Answer me this question... what kind of mind draws a sharpie on a weather map and tries to pass it off as reality? This is what he does in plain site... imagine what he's doing behind the scenes. This is not an honest man. He cannot and should not be trusted. He's not right in the head. Someday this will obvious to everyone. #265I appreciate your honesty. I think Hillary's biggest mistake in 2016 was she underestimated Trump supporters and thought she was going to run away with it. Had she campaigned in states that she lost that she assumed she would win the outcome might have been different. Honestly, in 2016 I didn't really care who won because I didn't like Trump nor Hillary.

Will we survive another 133 record stock market highs?
Will we survive the best unemployment numbers in 50 years?
Will we survive 8 million Americans coming off welfare?
Will we survive better trade deals with Mexico, Japan, Canada, China, South Korea???
Can we survive better border security?
Will we survive no more nuclear tests in NK?

I don't see that at all, the guy is pretty much an avoid war at all cost. He is finally standing up for the US, who has been ****** in trade since Bush's NAFTA and Clinton granting China permanent trade status. Does it hurt a bit more short term? Sure, but long term it will be a lot better for this country, not to mention economically hurting a global military power. The economy is doing great, unemployment is at an all time low its not a fluke.
Trump gets a lot of negative press because he is not one of the chosen elite. He is an outsider, does he say some things that make you scratch your head? Sure, but it doesn't warrant the ridiculous amount of negative or amount of coverage in general. And sometimes I think its a ruse, he says something outlandish, the media and Trump haters spend days talking about how dumb he is. Meanwhile, he is transforming the 9th circuit court and the federal court system as whole by implementing non-liberal judges, he's building a wall, he's undoing restrictive Obama era EO's etc... Going back to not being the chosen elite, he wasn't "suppose" to win. DC has operated the same way for a long time, maybe Reagan being the exception? But the spooks, career diplomats and other high level admins believe they not the elected officials should be setting policy, which is how you arrive at this impeachment farce. "Irregular Channels" is a cute way to say the President executed his right to bypass his foreign diplomats to communicate with foreign governments, because the foreign diplomats were undermining his policies. And before you or anyone says "yeah, well that should show you he is dangerous", its irrelevant, the POTUS was elected by the people of the US and its his absolute right to dictate policy. It is not, never has been and never will be, the right of the bureaucrats to dictate policy on affairs foreign or domestic, it is the responsibility of the elected officials. If the people, the diplomats, elected majorities of the opposition party don't like these policies, well that is why we have elections.
As far as the weather map fiasco, I am not going to defend that or even attempt to. I won't defend some of the dumb shit he says on Twitter either. I don't give a shit if he's an asshole or unlikable, he's done an excellent job looking out for the people of this country and has kept every single campaign promise he's made with the exception of getting rid of the Obamacare disaster, and that was because of one of those "chosen" elites in his own party.
You tell me, what in your opinion makes him so dangerous? Because he is calling out other countries for abusing us in trade for a long time, trying to change the culture in Washington, forcing other countries to step up and take a bigger role in their own defense, paying their dues to NATO, trying to protect our borders, enforcing our border laws in an attempt to slow the massive issue of illegal aliens in our country? I don't see these as dangerous, they are in many cases, for reasons I can't comprehend, that are seen as divisive by some people in this country. But, he is putting the best interest of the US first. I will use your words on you a bit, someday this will be obvious to everyone. We are in the middle of it right now, so its difficult for his haters to see.
I don't like him personally, but he is doing what he was elected to do. Not be a DC insider letting corruption continue as normal. Obama either ordered or allowed Trump's campaign to be spied on. If Trump did this to say Biden, it would be insane right now, well more insane. I mean hell, he asked Ukraine to look into whether or not the US, Biden specifically, interfered with a Ukrainian investigation into his son. And Trump is the one under fire. The media and the Democrats especially the far left Dems think we are idiots and that this video doesn't exist.
IMO, the Russia hoax was all about covering up what they did in 2016. They fully thought Hillary would win and it would never come to light. They got scared when Trump won and went all in trying to ruin him before the truth could come out. It didn't work, this impeachment farce is one last grasp but its too late. The IG report and John Durham's investigation is likely to reveal much of this corruption. The problem will be how much does the Trump hating media cover it?

#272She didn't campaign in certain states that had been long time blue, but I don't think that was her mistake. I think you touched on it with your next sentence, they didn't see that their all assault on white people, especially working class white men, would cause working white class men who traditionally voted Democrat to vote against them. Its just one of many examples of how out of touch the far left led Democratic party is with the American people. IMO, much of that comes from their bubble living group think circles. If you are unwilling to listen to, shit not even respect, but just listen to and be aware of differing opinions then you are going to be out of touch. Living in CA, NYC etc...and believing the politics of your area are shared by the majority of Americans across the country is a ridiculous belief. But liberals for the most part tend to only want to be around like minded people.
