Georgia grocery store removes Irish Spring soap ahead of Notre Dame-Georgia clash

There will be no luck of the Irish if one grocery store owner has anything to do with it.


The No. 3-ranked Georgia Bulldogs (3-0) host the No. 7-ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish (2-0) on Saturday (8 p.m. ET, CBS) for a primetime showdown. And a local grocery store in Georgia took its Bulldogs fandom to another level by removing Irish Spring soap bars off its shelves.


Dill's Food City, which has locations in neighboring cities Lavonia and Royston, Ga. (30-40 miles away from Athens), posted to social media earlier this week a sign that noted its Irish Spring soap was "temporarily out of stock." The sign on the shelf added, "go 'Dawgs."


Too much commitment? Are potatoes next?


Georgia is currently a 14-point favorite to take down Notre Dame. The Bulldogs defeated the Fighting Irish in Week 2 of the 2017 season, a victory that helped launch their run to the national title game.
