Use Gemini and wire the funds. No wait. Last time I checked CB was minimum 10k for a wire.

Use the DC at CB not the book. But none of my DC are accepted at CB either.

Just like it was mentioned in the thread. Give Gemini a shot.

Not what he's talking about. He bought bitcoin at coinbase, now has a hold before he can transfer to whatever wallet he uses.

I’ve always been able to purchase bitcoin instantly with DC but it’s transferring that takes 6-13 days. At least it always has with me. They won’t let you send it to a wallet no matter what form of deposit I use. Maybe I’m just fukkin clueless. That’s not out of the realm of possibility.

Transfer to Coinbase Pro (their trading platform, used to be GDAX) then withdraw to your wallet. Free and fast.
Disclaimer: That's how it used to be, don't know if anything has changed since I last used them.

Deposit USD into Coinbase first either Wire (fastest) or by ACH (couple days) then use the money to buy on Coinbase Pro. Seems to clear faster doing that route where purchasing directly by ACH they make you wait a full week where just depositing money it clears in a couple days (at least that was my experience).

I had some issue with Coinbase today saying it didn't recognize my device, which doesn't make any sense.
I tried calling them and yep, no one is available

An email will take about 3 months for a response. No lie. They have the absolute worst customer service of any company I have ever seen. It makes no sense it seems they would lose customers over this. Are they that cheap they can't pay some customer service reps? It's pathetic.

Bumping this thread to inquire about any changes or faster methods when using Coinbase.
The hold time is still 6 days before I can send btc to any wallet. This is frustrating when you’re trying to get some action on a big game.

I just read your response and I checked into the wire option. That may be the way to go for now if I want “speed.”

If you use your debit card on coinbase its instant, no holds. If you choose to use the ACH w/d option from your checking acct, then yes theyre will be a hold.

Deposited USD via ACH using CoinbasePro account on Tuesday 12/10. Received email same day confirming transaction and that funds should post to my account by 12/17 at 12:05 PST. Been with them over five years and this has been the usual time frame I've had to wait. Not complaining as I know the routine, just giving a recent example.

as long as i use my debit card i am good. i even got lucky and was able to increase my limits by supplying some proof of identity about 2 years ago i think. originally my limits were $100 per day with the debit card and they raised me to $1K per day on a debit card.

This isn’t necessarily true. Least not for me. I tested using the debit card after experiencing the wait times with ACH and it’s the same 6 day wait period before I can send the btc to a wallet. Sure, it will show up on your portfolio instantly for “trade” but you cannot send nor withdraw for the standard 5-6 days.
