#9History books about his decision to get benched by Gabbert? His decision to try to be a leader for a worthy cause only to make it about himself and how he protests?
WTF Earl? Kap really fukked up on a lot of levels. He had an audience, a voice, and a cause, now he's only respected by the liberal narrative pushing media.
He's more like damaged goods, not history book material. All the good he is currently doing just won't get noticed. He is doing a lot of good in communities, from what I've read.
Wouldn't you agree? He hurt his cause, not helped it.
Not sure he made a positive impact, but others may in the future by capitalizing on what he tried to start. I suppose. But he still won't get much credit for it all.
He never should have listened to his girlfriend and needed to join up with a leader, or someone with leadership qualities.
He'll fade to history when the money grab attention fad is over.Comment -

This is not about my opinion. This is about projections. We live in a pussy society where you can "be whatever you want." This will be amplified in the next decade. As a person ages, and then maybe even dies, their narrative is mythologized. In the end, what will happen is people will remember Kapernick for "sacrificing his job in the NFL to take a stand against violence, racism, and police brutality in America." This information will then get passed on to children, and it will become a part of popular culture. Look at Rosa Parks. She didn't do anything. All she did was take a small stand -- said she wouldn't give up her seat to a white man, and it started a small boycott... I've asked some people about this who were alive at the time, and it was a headline but it wasn't anything insane. It was a movement, just like we have these #metoo movements today. The point here being that, with time comes reflection.Originally posted by KVBHistory books about his decision to get benched by Gabbert? Never considered the fact that Kap accomplished nothing and will be completely forgotten in ALL halls except the Emmy Awards?
It's a disgrace to put Kap in the same conversation as Rosa Parks.
What the hell, why am I even conversing with this idiot?

#16this is a smart bet. once non-whites become a majority they'll be aggressively going after white people in every aspect. Anything that blames or humiliates whites they're going to push it 24/7. Look at illan omar and AOC....openly calling to tax white people more and blaming them for every failure of blacks and hispanics. Once whites are a true minority they'll be more emboldened to attack whites further.Comment -

#22Kap will be forgotten.
He didn't start a conversation, he didn't accomplish anything. People act like he was the first guy to protest.
No, he's just the first guy to quit his job (suicide by cop style) to protest. He wasn't going to start in the NFL ever again after being benched for Gabbert.
He will be forgotten because someone will come along, an actual leader, and actually make a change. Kap didn't even pave the way for that, if anything he made it more difficult by starting a failed SJW movement.
It's too bad because there are issues to be addressed, he just wasn't the guy for the job.
He should have dumped his brainwashing girlfriend and found a brain of his own.

#28I'm not sure you're following. It's not about what happened, or what you think. It's about how the narrative will be spun. For as smart as everyone is on SBR, the firm belief in their own convictions is what inables them from seeing a larger picture. As VeggieDog said, look who won a courage award. All people will remember in 20 years is Kapernick is the guy who was kicked out of the league because he took a knee, he took a stand, and he sacrificed tens, maybe hundreds of millions of dollars. Then you'll have nerds that dig into it and say "No! That's not what happened!" But it won't matter, because he'll already have made an imprint on popular culture.Originally posted by KVBKap will be forgotten.
