I’ll chime in on this. I dont believe there is value. Its only “perceived” value. 99.9% of bettors, particularly on sbr, are not going to find an edge based on data that the books have not already accounted for. The algos and all of the other sophisticated metrics that the oddsmakers use are way more advanced than any of us. 20 yrs ago...yeah maybe you could find an edge. In 2019 the lines are tighter than a ducks ass

Great Post! I agree with you that 2019 lines are tighter than a ducks petute. In theory - is it then impossible to win with a large sample? Why are they so tight-Is it because of all the states legalizing and that is where the squares/volume has gone?

But, I do disagree that bookmakers always set a scientifically correct line. The # is Absolutely, super cloned and simultaneously moved on the slightest of a duck fart. There are still some times where the lines maker is trying to split the action.

There are still people that make a very scientific line and can recognize this. There is a reason for steam type movement. But, the only guy getting value is the originator.

So, I say value can still be defined by somebody who is really, really, really good.
