JJ I've been teaching golf for over 30 as a PGA Professional. Pretty good swing. Like Rudy mentioned, you are about 2 inches too far from the ball. This causes all of the problems in your swing. Move in about 2 inches and make sure that your weight is on the balls of your feet. If you get too close, you will feel your weight in the heels and in your hamstrings. Try this and some of the other things that I won't mention now will go away.

JJ the most important aspect of a golf swing is the grip itself
Need a pic of the grip

Yes they do! Even Jack! I prefer overlap though myself! Can't stand the other one! But my twin did the other one!

Exactly!! I am a lefty swinging righty, so I have it easy! Trying to tell a right handed person to
let his left arm do most of the work is easy to say but SOOOO hard for (y'all) to do!
I use overlap because I'd NEVER take one of my left fingers off the club!!!

Sometimes I fold, sometimes I crumple.
But mostly I crumple. I just don't take the time to fold.

This is SBR’s top golf expert. ^^
And he is cool about playing with high handicappers and doesn’t get too pissed about it, so JJ if you get the chance, play a round or 2 with Big O.
Just be be on guard if he drives the cart toward a pack of geese.

Interlock grip is better for players with small hands. Tiger and Jack being the two best players of all-time and they fit this mold. The Vardon Grip (Overlap) is better for players with larger hands.
In general terms, most ladies, juniors, and men that wear a Medium or smaller glove should be using the interlock grip. Players that wear a Medium Large or larger size should be using the Vardon grip. There are exceptions to this but this is good for 99% of golfers.
You will see some recreational players using the 10 finger grip (Baseball grip) but it's rare to see a good player using this grip.
I have even played with a few good golfers that played cross-handed. (Black guys) It's a strange thing to watch a cross-handed swing.

Charles Owens was probably the best Cross-handed golfer.
I was one of the few White guys to ever play in the Skyview Open in Asheville, NC. This was a big event for Black golfers The Thorpes, Jimmy Black, and others would play this event every year. I would see at 12 Black guys playing cross-handed in this event. Asheville was 1 hour away from where I grew up and we would play big gambling matches against some Asheville guys every week. Chuck Thorpe played in some of the matches against us.

A lot of these guys grew playing baseball and there were many Black cross handed batters. Hank Aaron being the best of these obviously. When they took up golf, they did it the same way.

I just went to the range and hit 10 beautiful drivers right down the middle and stopped & came home.
Now I'll go play tomorrow and hit it OB 3 or 4 times.

Weird thing occurred to me reading this thread
I have played a lot of baseball and golf, but never tried or considered using an overlap or interlock grip while swinging a baseball bat. Curious to try it now. Might not work because a bat handle is a bit thicker than a golf grip or maybe the force of the ball coming at you would kill ur hands if you tried to hit that way IDK.

LOL Yeah, like even you 2 goofballs think I put 10 drivers on tees and then hit them all down the range!
Does Big Orange think the guy in the commercial went and teed up his drivers and hit them instead of balls?
What if I said I hit "10 beautiful 8 irons." ?? Would you still feel the need to bash me? LOL
I was simply "condensing" my sentence!
Do I REALLY need to say I hit 10 beautiful drives with my driver so you and Big Goofball won't get confused,
and make goofball posts about it? LOL If I do then read the first few sentences above! ^^^

I wonder how far he could hit a driver if he put a driver on a tee and tried to hit it?
LOL What sense does that even make when them 2 goofballs really know what somebody meant?!!
