Akron/Illini under 61... nothing like jumping Saturday’s off w a early kick under on a fairly high number!! Think we get some sloppy play early on in this one, gonna be few penalties killing drives, few punts and presto we have 8-9 minutes gone and nobody on board yet. Look no further than Illini 1st 2 games last season vs similar type opponent, they actually got down as they did little to no scoring in 1st qrtr of either. Yes Illini has more talent this year but they still a lovie smith coached team! The offense may be better but I’d expect them to resemble personality of their defensive minded coach.,
Illini gonna gash them in the running game as this game moves on but i just don’t expect that to produce enough points to reach this number and don’t foresee zips offense adding a lot to this total. If zips hit 20 i would be pretty surprised and don’t expect Illini to break 40.. 38-17 seems realistic here.,
Ole miss +4.5.. you want a more high flying offensive shootout type game this prob be it., been few years since they played and sounds like this be the last meeting for awhile. This pretty simple, I’ll take the points w the sec team who holds a 49-11 edge in this rivalry!! Rebs brought in new coordinations to fix the mess they had last year and the fact these kids dogs to a group of 5 should have had them buying in and working their asses off in camp. Give me the disrespected team who might be inexperienced but is surely more talented to end the rivalry much the same way it has went the past 60 games!!
Ducks +4 ., I have this feelin the pac-12 makes a push to have a playoff team this year..
Seems like the prevailing thoughts are still the sec pushes around pac-12 in trenches but I gotta believe that narrative is something a oline w so much nfl talent is sick of hearing. Make no mistake ducks have possibly the best oline in the game this year.
Seems awful crazy we getting 4 points w the team featuring the senior qb projected as a top 5 draft pick against a freshman doesn’t it? Is that just because the sec/pac-12 perception? No doubt that perception is there for a reason, it has been what typically happens. Can’t help but think that changes for this one game anyway.
Northwestern +6. Too many points in what should be a dog fight w 2 very well coached teams.
Boston college +4.5. This my favorite of the group. Will talk bout shorty.
