#72Question is what makes a star athlete a bust?
Some would say James Harden is a bust because he chokes in the playoffs.. Tony Romo the same.. Some have AMAZING regular seasons but then always come up short come playoff time, they panic and choke in the crunch..
Does that make them a bust? I think it does! Champions play best when the lights are the brightest in my book. Show up when it really counts I say!
Romo wasn’t even drafted, he was the opposite of a bust!!Comment -

#74Those strong candidates. Isn’t it crazy with nfl becoming such soft offense friendly garbage how few true bust we have now days?? Sure some guys don’t live up like Winston and mariota but they far from the complete worthless bust of the past!! Used to be taking a qb in 1st round was 50/50 at best. Now they all come in and have at least marginal success.Comment -

Tony Romo was a stud in college from what I remember.. Just because he wasn't drafted high or at all shouldn't determine whether he was a bust or not.. He started on a NFL team, Tony Romo was a sensation and had wheels and a great arm but come playoff time he choked.
Either he tried too hard, pressed and thru INT's or bobbled snaps on extra points.. He couldn't close escrow bottom line Bankers when it counted.. He never worked out and was injury prone always. BUST!!!

#77I remember watching a 30 for 30 on Tony Romo or Football Life not sure which? Romo was a stud in a small college but didn't he have a lingering injury or something that dropped him basically out of the draft? I can't remember?

spent first three seasons as a third or 2nd string QB
he was basically just the special teams holder
he had ZERO expectations
impossible to be a bust when you over achieve that much from original expectations
choker maybe, but not a bustComment -

Definitely not a bust, as someone else mentioned prob the best un-drafted qb ever. That I recall anyways. Maybe best un-drafted player period?
Didn’t he play baseball in college? Quite a athlete.Comment -

#82Liked how? Who were all Seattle QBs before they drafted Russ in 3rd round? Another steal! I remember they gave Matt Flynn a big ol contract after showing glimmer of talent as packer backup! Not a draft bust but a contract bust for sure!! Did he ever even start for them or is that year Wilson got drafted and won job??Comment -

#84But Wilson isnt a Bust
HASSELBECK was pretty decent and oit us to multiple playoffs and a Superbowl Loss he was kinda a bust tho and couldn't get to that next level. Great guy and was respected in the Locker room
Russell Wilson has been this franchise's best ever in my opinion and still has shit to show us. Go HawksComment -

#92Joey Harrington, Kyle Boller, and that qb the jags drafted before bortles from mizzou are some of the worst i ever saw.
and jamarcus russell as he screwed the pay scale for every rookie after he was drafted. guys were getting rich back then as rookies. he blew it for all of them.Comment -

But cmon now, was he a bust as much as jags worthless front office was retarded? Nobody else projected him as top 10 pick.
I stand by Ryan Leaf as undisputed biggest bust in history. All about context. Scouts and GMs seriously were split on him or the good manning!! Nobody was saying anything bad, everyone thought you basically couldn’t go wrong with either!!Comment -

I know this cause I knew drafting Bradford at 1 and paying that money was gonna ruin the stl rams! Didn’t realize it was gonnna be so bad we lost our team!! Bradford might be biggest bust! I know that not true if we looking at stats/career but the guy did suck and he basically ended football in St. Louis! That pretty bad!! LolComment -

#99Actually it was Sam Bradford cross eyed ass that broke the camels back. B2B years those 2 clowns got 60-70 mil guaranteed or whatever it was back then and that was it!! Owners had enough!!
