#71There is almost ZERO buffering with NitroTV. I also have Smoothstreams and I sometimes have to switch servers if one starts buffering but that is not an issue with Nitro.Comment -

#72Most iptv providers like nitro have a web client so you can use a computer, firesticks, android boxes, etc. A good box to look into is called a FormulerZ. Full epg guide and you can record TV plus setup timers. Iptv is best for live TV, especially local markets. I like watching Los Angeles, Gainesville, Cleveland, Columbus local sports to follow my NFL and college teams. I still pay a shit load for Xfinity cause it's easy for the family to use with Tivo.
Kodi with a good build like titanium is good for movies and TV shows. Very easy to search for what you want and watch.Comment -

#77Must be an issue with your internet provider. I've had it in Northern Virginia and Maryland for the last 4 years plus at my Mom's house in TN and there have literally been no issues. I see where Rudy says he has slow internet speed so he may have some issues with that.Originally posted by biggie12bigorange for canadians nitro is shit. i dunno why. constant buffering and freezing. used to be good but last 3 months its garbage and the EPG does not update properly anymoreComment -

#85i bet daily roundsOriginally posted by CanuckGshouldn't need to re watch golf. just need to know the score.
need to only see where the pin is and where they hit tee shot/approach shot
much easier to fast forward shots showing that than finding pin locations for the day and matching that up with shotlink
plus, no weather involved in last scenario whereas the announcers atleast usually tell you
im still gonna get the iptv within a month but thats an important feature for daily golfComment -

#86what is "a streamer side issue. "Originally posted by swordsandtequilaI can't speak to those posting on YouTube, but NOBODY with adequate internet, especially 100 mbs download speed, suffers buffering due to low bandwidth. For one, no service is streaming at that rate. Buffering is almost always a streamer side issue. A bad setup on the user side could also cause problems. Or 50 people on the same network streaming at once. Also some IP's cap bandwidth. Here's a link with Netflix recommendations:
Check if your internet connection meets our recommended download speeds to watch TV shows, movies, or live events on Netflix in high quality and without interruption.
At 4k/UHD you only need about 25 mbs, 1080 uses around 5 mbs. Having 100, 75, 50 mbs doesn't matter in regards to a single stream. Much like those YouTube posters, I'm just some random dude on the internet. But while relatively new in the iptv arena, I'm not a novice in audio/video. Like ThaTopMoron above, I've been downloading HD video/lossless audio for years (file sharing moreso than torrents). Have a large movie/music doc/concert library set up through Plex, with a Nvidia Shield for various apps and iptv. All ethernet, but even with wifi I rarely have any buffering with Netflix/Amazon, etc. Occasionally get a glitch streaming a game on ESPN+, but like I said that's server side. While not always as reliable as cable/satellite it's damn close. And if they don't want to offer me the option to purchase the nfl ticket, etc., then I have no problem spending a fraction of the cost and watching whatever the fuk I want

#89Router placement might be your issue. If you are getting buffering, try getting your router as high up in the air as you can and make sure it is at least 10 feet away from your tv. Most people place it right beside the tv and only a foot or two off of the floor. Some can get away with this but if you are having issues, give this a try.Originally posted by blackbartwhat is "a streamer side issue. "

#91When streaming video (or any data across the internet) from point A to point B it's never a straight line. There are many points along the way that can lead to bottlenecks. In a perfect world the internet would be all fiber optic with unlimited bandwidth where data flows free without interruption, with every user having a direct line to everything. Like a 100 lane highway with no more than 20 vehicles at a time with no stop signs and an exit at every user. The reality is the internet is a patchwork of fiber/coax/100 year old phone lines with millions of connections along the way. I live in Tampa, if I do a speed test from Spectrum on their local server the speed looks great, but in real world use that same data bounces across numerous servers before reaching me. A website across the bay in St. Pete might hit a server in Atlanta, then Chicago, then Miami before hitting my screen. Generally it's still fast, so not noticeable. But potholes along the road can lead to issues (buffering, lost signal, etc.). I think a big problem with a lot of the iptv services is they oversell their subscriptions (along with resellers) and don't have adequate servers to handle the requests. Think 5dimes 30 minutes before NCAA/NFL gamedays. Every year the same threads pop up, can't get into the site. It's the nature of the beast. The better services seem to cap their subs to maintain quality streams.Originally posted by blackbartwhat is "a streamer side issue. "

Nitro seems to have a good reputation, if I were you I'd contact them and see if there may be some tweeks to your setup that may help. And if possible, connect to your router via ethernet. At any given time my wifi is every bit as fast as hardwired, but latency isn't an issue with ethernet.Comment -

#94I use Nitro too. $99.95 seven months for 2 devices.Originally posted by BigOrangeFirestick or Firebox then add a NitroTV subscription. You don't need Kodi.
NitroTV is $105 for 7 months and I currently get 8800 channels including every Pro sports package and all major college packages plus PPV movies, every movie channel, every cable channel, ppv events, more than 200 local networks, etc.
Go through Bushay at EOG and he will get you setup and take care of any issues you run into.
I cut Cable off 4 years ago. $15/month for everything you can imagine NitroTV.Comment -
