Been MIA due to my 6th GRABBER!!! IT WAS HELL!!!
This ain't my 1st rodeo but may have been the toughest!! Damn Drs. did not want to cooperate with the program!! I'm a guinea pig as they installed a prototype device in my groin to be absorbed into my heart by 90 days!!

Just glad to be outta that HELL HOLE!!

I feltlike I was in a continous battle!!

It's good to be home & GREAT to be here!!

    TAKE THAT YOU FREAKN DRS.!!

            Thanks Rudy.

I've had this done 5 times before, BUT this time it went VERY well!
            Previously tho I always
had to lay on my back almost flat for 6 hrs.
With this new prototype they actually removed the sheath in recovery (I did not realize this till over 2 hrs later)
It was ALOT less painful due to being just flat for 2 hrs.

I was sitting in my kithen about 11pm and felt the stomach burning and the telltale pain in my left arm, had my daughter call 911. Tuesday they installed my 7th stint.

I will say this that I feel very positive about the Heart Catherizatiion!!

I need to be more aware of my health instead of blowing it off.

Adios y'all...please learn fom my mistakes...PLEASE!!

Look into Dr. Esselystn and Dr. Dean Ornish lifestyle medicine, Saved my father's life and greatly improved the quality of it, so that his 80's were better than his 60's and 70's

lonegambler ....I'm 73 with 6 grabbers on my health record unfortunately , one triple by-pass and
repairing a hole in my heart. I hit the gym 4 days a week and
ride the stationary bike 15/20 miles each time. I used to shoot
at the gun club I belong to almost 6 days a week....not enuf time now.

                                Enjoy life to the fullest!!!!

Kraken...I'm still a little foggy bout the name, but there is a clamp in a artery in my right leg that will take 90 days to be absorbed into my body. I usually have to lay flat on my back for 6 hrs with my head slightly elevated so as I can be fed. This time only had to be flat for 2 hrs!! The sheath was taken out in recovery which I did not know since I was still out.

Probably wouldn't bet any preseason buddy...

...maybe a few weeks of rest then hit the NFL regular season

No need to stress over some 6th rounder making a penalty on a punt that throws the game

                                                Glad you’re doing well!

They probably used the Angio-seal VIP device. If you got a stent they likely gave you a stent book with a couple stickers in it. One sticker for each stent and one sticker for the absorbable device in the groin. Doesn’t matter which device, I was mainly just curious if a new one was out but there’s only one or two that are absorbable, and the Angio-Seal is the most commonly used by a wide margin

We use a device called Perclose. Its a suture based system instead of an absorbable collagen plug and they’ve done studies showing that you can get ip and ambulate immediately after a heart cath if you got the Perclose device, no bed rest... crazy

If you need a heart cath in the future, you can ask them to go through your left wrist as well, no bed rest for that either! Has to be the left wrist though

I should know a lil more about it than you, I’ve worked in cath labs the last 10 years of my life.

Probably not gonna make you feel better but I’ve seen 30 and 40 stents in people. We put in 6 or 7 at one time 😂 To me thats nothing.

Keep enjoying life man, diabetes is a bitch. If there is one thing i preach to my friends, its to try and never acquire type 2 diabetes, it wreaks havoc on your entire body. Probably one of the worst diagnoses one can receive IMO.

Enjoy your nap and keep your a1c in check
