#14Not true. There is a higher chance of a tie in the pre-season simply because the lines are mostly between 1-3 points.Originally posted by SBR Tonytrue but somebody has to win, well cover that is
Getting back to the question, unless you know what is in the mind of the HC, there are no real pros to wagering on preseason football. The biggest con is simple. Who is going to play and when is he going to play?Comment -

#17Pro's - You can bet the under, take a nap during the game, and then cash your ticket after the game is over.
Con's - The level of play is atrocious. Very boring to watch but if you like napping you can overcome this.Comment -

#20If you're into the NFL, and I'm most assuredly not, I would think it's easier than regular season NFL. Coaches for the most part come out and tell you what they're going to do....
But I don't know. I'm not an NFL guy.Comment -

#21Sam, I KNOW more touts than you can name, without looking of course. I knew the likes of Jim Feist, Al McMordie, Mark Lawrence, and others. I still keep in touch with a few touts. The one thing I can GUARANTEE you is that they are ALL losers. Every single one of them. Feist and Steele are the biggest losers. These two phonies have gone from having their own rags, TV shows, and 20-25 different sites to working for Don Best, Mark Lawrence, and ESPN as contributors. That is how broke they are. Many of the old touts are out of the business now. Some are behind bars. Bottom line is this. There is NO WAY I would ever become a tout.Originally posted by Sam OdomQH

Sam
I do not necessarily care to make friends in here. I look at it three ways. If you wagered on the same team as I did, I wish you all the luck in the world. If you faded the team I wagered on, I hope you lose your ass. If you did not play on a team that I played on, I could care less who you wagered on. Unlike many people in here who use this site as the ONLY social life they have, I am NOT here to make friends. I am here for one reason and one reason only. That is to make MONEY. I read the posts in here with the hope that I may see something that I think is worth while and should use when determining who to wager on. There have been times when I read something that has changed my mind about a wager. Normally it was to keep me off a wager. It does not happen very often, but it does occasionally. It is difficult to read a site that has so many losers as this one does, but I just consider it part of the job. But know this. Other than the plays I have to post on or before 8/30 to make that Chicken S**t KVB pay for running his mouth off, I will be posting very few plays period. All of my "College Games of the Year" are posted on my spreadsheet. If these dumb arses do not know how to find my spreadsheet, that is on them. I could care less.Comment -

#22The pre-season is supposedly Phil (the man of) Steele's domain.
My friend had a subscription about 5 years ago; and as I remember, he hit about 55% - 60% ATS.
Just going on memory; no data to back it up.Comment -

#29One has to wonder. For amateurs (like me), is hitting 55% in the preseason any less difficult than doing same in regular season?
Maybe line moves is a viable method. Worked with Denver.

#32Sammy. You are one of the very few people in here that I enjoy reading. Let's face it. SBR consists of a large number of people who fit into the "Poor White Trash" Catagory. These people have basically nothing. They have no life to speak of. They have no money. The ones that do work and make a living piss their money away in sports books and casino's. I sincerely doubt if 10% of the people in here are college grads. They also have no guts outside of SBR. Now the minorities are even worse. There are a few who do a lot of work in here, but the rest of them should be run out of here, and many other places that I can think of.Originally posted by Sam Odom

I have never seen so many stupid, ignorant, and brainless posts as I have seen in here. There are a HUGE number of people who just lie about their wagers. They simply do not have the money. Peons run wild in here. So I step on them and try to crush them like you would try and crush an ant. I could care less about what these peons think about me or what they ave to say about me because I have one thing they do not. That is called a life. Hang in there Sammy and do not allow these losers to get to you. You are a good guy in a world of idiots in here. Hell, just look at who the Saloon Moderator is. The biggest joke in here.Comment -
