Trust me in a year or two your gonna love getting Trammell.

I'm not wild about giving up a young proven 30-40 homer slugger that was beloved by teammates and fans for a prospect. That said, Reyes is really only a power hitter. He is a liability on defense and does not hit for a high average or on base %. Trammell seems to have a skill set that the Padres are lacking as well as being a left handed hitter.

as a lifelong reds fan this is a great trade for the reds. It is proving that the reds are playing for it next year. Bauer makes 18 million next year and he has stated that he is only signing a 1 yr year for the rest of his career. roark will be gone but the big 3 in the lineup is bauer,castillo and gray. not to shabby. Also scooter gennett has been out all yr. Now they lose puig's bat but there he loves cincy so he maybe back. I hate losing tramel because he is a top 2 batter.
