Is he not wrong though? It's turned into the players league now if they want to leave it seems like they can force anything through and just stop playing.

Hypothetically speaking if the Lakers don't gel and are under .500 then Davis asked for a trade mid season you'd be annoyed I think? Sorry if I'm completely missing the point, hopefully the Lakers go well for you this season.

For me I'd like to know if Kerr is a good coach or not, time well tell but I'm skeptical.

I back the players all day. they ARE the league.

BUT I admit this could set a bad precedent going forward.

I do not know what is right in this situation. we will see how it plays out because the playing field has shifted and the cards are on the deck. teams are under more pressure to keep players happy but they also write the checks. it will be interesting to see most definitely.

For sure I back the players over the owners any day but it's the fans that miss out in the end. If the owners really wanted to make a stand they'd do what pro soccer teams do and let their player pushing for a release rot in the reserves for a bit. Would be funny to see a big time NBA player playing D league!

Doesn't bother me I don't have a team I support just like watching NBA hoops and next year's looking fun.

*Not that any of those star soccer players actually play for the reserves they just train with them I should say, can't think of an example where they've taken the field but I'm sure there is one.

Kawhi Leonard orchestrated a much more damaging move in my opinion. The players have been able to force trades for years. In the year before they are free agents, they basically tell their team to trade them or get nothing. Leonard's power play is talking this shit to a whole new level. If Kerr wants to complain, complain about that.

Completely different. Neither KG or Allen forced their old teams to deal them nor sat out games with phantom injuries. Garnett stayed in MN with zero complaints and busted his ass every night. Davis and his agent forced New Orleans into dealing him. Durant never asked OKC to deal him. He gave them 9 or 10 seasons of all nba play and when he became a free agent chose to sign with a team he felt comfortable with. Completely different than Davis as well.

But where they are not is bottom line the Celtics and Warriors both formed Super Teams.

And both head coaches have complained about other teams doing exactly what they were included in.
