Their lineup sucks, they are just on good run, they won't last.

He's just salty because they might sweep Cubs who have "great value" to win NL Central.

It’s even better their lineup looks so ugly on paper, not often a team on this kind of streak and we still getting really nice prices on them!!

Yeah my point is every mlb team has a good stretch Giants don't have offense to likely sustain it.

Very few have the kind of stretch San Fran on at the moment.

What sucks for their gm is it puts him in really tough spot when he was planning on restocking farm system w all his pitching assets.

Baumgardner's value will only go down from here and Giants have zero chance to win the division, it would be extremely risky to not trade Baumgardner this year, and Yankees are desperate for a top level ace with Severino still hurt, Giants will not have the leverage they have right now any time soon.

I know but it would make the fans crazy mad now.

They have put the gm in a crappy spot, managers last year too. Poor guy was basically brought in for this rebuild and now if he pulls trigger and trades Bum plus all their good pen arm assets like he should they might run him out of town before he can complete the job!!!

i've noticed san fran's rise for quite a few days now.

can someone give "cliff notes" as to how they've improved....... i think of them as pretty mediocre position players, excepting a healthy buster posey. some good pitchers but wouldn't have thought it was enough.

The pen been excellent so keeps them in a lot of games. I’d say the lineup mediocre for sure but they have scored a lot of runs during this run. Lot of timely hitting, have prob seen more than their fair share of suspect pitching recently.

I’ve bet them quite a bit, think noticed when they were kicking shit out of Rockies at coors i was like “damn I need to start betting this team cause they usually dogs and keep wining!” But if you actually try to cap them you understand why their lines favorable cause it certainly not easy to find runs in that lineup most nights, Just hold your nose and fire while the getting good. Lol. I doubt it keeps up a whole lot longer but who knows, baseball a strange game!!

Bumgarner wants to stay. Think they will re-sign him. Was at Monday and Tuesday’s game. Park was electric despite being half full of cubs fans. God love em fun people but all drunks.

their offense has gone bananas since they acquired Dickerson from the Padres. not saying its because of him but that is when the run started. I was at 2 of the 3 games when he single handedly destroyed my Dbacks. then the rest of that team started to follow suit.

they have had a great bullpen all season, which always kept them in games. that has been a key ingredient in the formula for success for quite a while now in the league. if you have good pitching you are always in striking distance.

however one thing to keep in mind now that they have staked their claim in the wildcard race is the dynamic of the rest of the league who were potentially looking at Giants relievers as trade pieces come the trade deadline. im sure teams were licking their chops at some of the Giants back end guys. does their recent run now turn them into buyers?

dont see them as a threat unless they do indeed turn into buyers and continue to bolster that offense through the trade market. another starter wouldn't hurt either. they have a lot to play for this season too since its Bochy's last year.

they have had a great bullpen all season, which always kept them in games. that has been a key ingredient in the formula for success for quite a while now in the league. if you have good pitching you are always in striking distance.

however one thing to keep in mind now that they have staked their claim in the wildcard race is the dynamic of the rest of the league who were potentially looking at Giants relievers as trade pieces come the trade deadline. im sure teams were licking their chops at some of the Giants back end guys. does their recent run now turn them into buyers?

dont see them as a threat unless they do indeed turn into buyers and continue to bolster that offense through the trade market. another starter wouldn't hurt either. they have a lot to play for this season too since its Bochy's last year.
Cueto is expected back in August as well.
