Eldorado is valued at $4 billion. In what world, with expansion of casinos everywhere and major competition, raising levered debt so much to pay for this purpose? Caesars properties are dumps.

Financing with stock (lol) wow. Has no one been paying attention to casinos in recent years. Huge projections falling way short, leaving casinos in the red, due to the interest on the building loans. Look at Oceans in AC and all of the NY casinos for example. Yes, many properties of Caesars have been around forever, so likely depreciated and mortgages paid down, but still. It is not an industry I would buy real estate in.

i'm seeing the Indian casinos take advantage of this in California. Their hotels are always sold out with $400 rates and tables games full on weekends. They're promoting 3-2 BJ at a lot of them. Still offering free parking. Free rooms etc.

I don't know if indian casinos have this but California casinos are awful. I've never played a hand of blackjack in CA and probably never will. You have to PAY $1 minimum PER hand just to play. Not only does the house have 1% edge but paying a $1+ fee to play a hand, fuk no.

Pretty sad too, was tilted and about to bet $100 black chips when in LA at a casino blackjack, when they told me I had to pay $1 just to play a -EV game, I cursed them out and left. Fuk to the HELL no.

Good question. Caesars does lease their casinos from the real estate corporation they created. I would imagine it includes the real estate company as well but not positive.

I will agree about Vegas, I used to go there every year, but its now a dump with casinos screwing every penny out of you with cr@p game rules and charges for everything possible! And the last time I was there (2011) it felt very unsafe at times even on the strip.

Was in Vegas during March Madness. Was an okay time. High limit slots was good but god damn the table games at Caesars are bad.

The fee tables downtown had weird rules about splitting and doubling.

At local casinos BJ is 3/2, Split any pair or 10’s, can double anything, can double after split (except A’s).
