#44What's interesting about society.... is how dumb we are. We are so used to the "surcharges" in regards to everything in life.Originally posted by BostongamblerOnly have room for 3000 cars and they are predicting up to 50,000 people tomorrow.
They have ferries from every angle of Boston so that should help.
Charging $22-$42 for parking. Can’t remember ever seeing a casino charge for parking before.
For example... Encore "squeezing" you dry for that parking fee. Heaven forbid they call it... an "admission fee" to enter the building. Society wouldn't accept that... but let's call it... a "parking fee". lol Society accepts that though lol How dumb.Comment -

#49I’m sure they will not hit revenue projections just like all the other new casinos.
They will do well for a while but it will flatten out just like everywhere else.
Too much competition in the northeast. They will get the Boston customers but that’s about it.
Rhode Island and CT casinos will take a big hit too as they will lose most of their Boston customers.Comment -

Governor Baker for MA is on record with an introduced bill for sports betting to be legal in MA hopefully by the end of 2019. Would also beat RI as trying to have both casino and online betting which as of right now RI sports betting has to be done at the book in the casino.
Draft Kings also recently opened their new HQ in Boston so that should say somethingComment -

#56Actually they were. Funny to because if you know craps you know you can’t pass up laying better odds on the back. So the 50 just became 150 or more.Originally posted by jjgoldAlmost every state in America is going to legalize sports betting because it’s done well in the legal states, where the $50 tables crowded?Comment -

Yes it's pretty but the table minimums are obnoxiously high and the rules are anti-player. Drink service stinks as well.Comment -

The first time I was there I only saw $50 dollar minimum tables , which if your playing craps we all know you have to take the odds so it is 150 in reality.
Saw 25 dollar tables the next time, but only a few.Comment -

The governor is addressing legalized sports gambling now. I say within a year it will be good to go in Massachusetts. Then they would have to add another wing onto the casino.Comment -
