Although Stanek did open for Yarbrough other day, but when latter starts, it is legit. So usually Stanek-Beeks is 5th "man" with Rays now using 4 starters for first time in like 2 years.

Correct. I believe Hunter Wood was the other reliever Tampa used as an opener.

If your opener and closer give you 3 easy outs then your starter and bullpen only needs 6 or 7 innings to finish the job.

Bizarre, since Ferguson pitched yesterday, and he sucks.

Not sure why Dodgers would advertise which reliever will be coming in. But Roberts is a dumb so who knows.

Why do other teams announce "bulk" pitcher that follows opener? That allows opponent to set up lineup against handedness of second pitcher.

So in short. I don't know.

Also, Urias is more of quasi-opener as he could go 3 and maybe even 4 innings if needed. So there's a chance LA could abandon Ferguson as Urias-Fergy plan was divulged before last night's game. No matter what though, look for normal pen starting in fifth inning.

Not really, they are the most consistent and transparent because the always announce it the night before. it is teams that announce a few hours before gametime (hello Seattle) that are a pain in the ass.
