What a dumb ass, if he had taken the $75,000 he could put $25,000 down on the Blues for game 7 and end up with more than $100,000. Win win. Bruins definitely more likely to win tonight, but Blues a value bet.

Well..he will win. This is nuts. I had Calgary as did many others. They got nicked by Colorado and then San Jose got them, leaving the door open for Saint Louis. This is kinda like an upset in the Tennis Opens. Team or player does not deserve to be there but plays better when there is a door open. Great way to make money. I had Vondrousva at 5000 to 1 to win French Open but lost , hedged of course. I had Naomi Osaka to win the US Open last year at 10000 to 1. I won. Door was left open by someone (I forget) ...and she pounced on in. Best finals ever ...and nope..I did not hedge Serena Williams.

Go Boston!! ...but...they have won too many stuff.. NHL says Saint Louis ... they need to win to make the city worthwhile. It is all corporate. I have Toronto Raptors to win pre season ..and I am scared!!!!

I was confident the only way the Blues would win would be if Binnginton played incredible, I think Boston was the better team, but a hot goalie can change everything.

goalies win rings plain and simple. rask did not show up tonight and it probably had something to do with blues getting no shots on net and giving him no rhythm. bennington made some of the best saves of the series tonight. it's odd how the blues even scored 4 goals. i took under 5.5 and i was worried about rask going into the 3rd, i was not worried about bennington.

It was a mistake not to hedge game 6, absolutely a mistake.

Why? Because he locks in a profit betting Boston at + money game 6 and still has a chance to cash his original bet in game 7. He missed a tremendous opportunity to win more money. It was almost like having a free middle.

Still a great bet but it could have been a better outcome for him the way the series played out.

It was a gamblers dream scenario to be in that position with the future ticket he held.

A Toronto criminal defence lawyer had 76,500 reasons to smile as the St. Louis Blues won their first Stanley Cup in a stunning victory over the Boston Bruins Wednes…

A Toronto lawyer also cashed big on St Louis.

Jeff Mazin won $76,500US (roughly $103,000CDN) on $1,300US in wagers as his long-shot team prevailed as the ultimate Cinderella story — from worst to best this year.

During a visit to Las Vegas last August, Mazin initially bet $800 on the Blues — then a 30-1 underdog — to win the Stanley Cup.

“When St. Louis traded for Ryan O’Reilly, that made them (Stanley) Cup contenders,” recalled Mazin. “And he proved his leadership by winning Most Valuable Player in the playoffs.”

In late January — as struggling St. Louis rose from last place — Mazin doubled down, betting $300US — at 75-1 odds — at one Las Vegas hotel and another $200US at a third hotel that paid 150-1 odds.

Geez, I hedge on like $40 in a final 3 parlay. He was a home fan. I put $500 on the Seahawks when Russell Wilson became quarterback. Almost won! I was a fan. ignorant. Still think the Seattle Seahawks should have won in 2014. I had them at 50,000 to 1. I had $200. Next year, futures dramatically changed but I still put money down on the Seattle Seahawks preseason and won. And yes..I hedged that year but I understand how he felt on just knowing his team will win in the end. Go Hawks!

At least I had the Toronto Raptors mid season at 200 to 1.
