Same with Phil Mickelson. He’s right handed. Amazing how these guys are so good with their weaker hand.

Lol. The way he wipes his face in between points reminds me of Nomar between pitches. Everything is exactly the same.

Well congrats to Thiem. He put everything he had to try and win a set against Nadal and accomplished it. Maybe next year he can win 2.

used to think I was a little even handed when I was little playing sports but it was all just me consciously trying to be cool some of these guys are just wired naturally to be good at it seeing zion dunk from the ft line off either foot is mind blowing

Don’t forget lebron finishes better left handed.

I’m no professional athlete. But I’m ambidextrous. I use my right predominantly, but I find I’m much more steady with my off hand. I’ve won amateur 3pt competition left handed, can throw an accurate spiral football 20 yards left handed. Also, me and my dad are left handed shooting gun/bow. He used to be top of the state back in the day.

I broke my right arm at 12 and learned my potential, I think a lot of people would be better if they put more time in with their off hand.

Take away the second set which looked like Nadal didnt take it all that seriously, and this was a complete and utter beatdown.

                          3 sets to 1 rafa
                          23 games to 12 rafa

                          #18 Was so pristine

Thiem 4 wins on clay v rafa did not help today

The best players show up when the brightest lights are on

Shame on anyone who actually believed thiem could win today or even push rafa

Never seen Nadal so emotional he probable knows the end of career is very soon.

No it's because it's been a rough clay season for him and he started feeling negative. Coach Carlos moya had to keep reminding him of his greatness a d that he wasn't losing a step. It was relief for rafa to win this tourney.

His wins are coming to an end because of age and injury

                                      Might never win another tournament

He’ll win again, but I don’t think he has a lot of time left. I think it’s going to be exciting for the chase to 21. Nadal will do everything he can to stay fit to get to 21. Djoker has a good chance of winning the last two majors to give himself a chance of getting to 21. And Fed is going to play as long as humanly possible to prevent the other two from getting to 21. When the year ends, it could be Fed 20, Rafa 18 and Djoker 17. How awesome would that make next year?

JJ don't feel bad. You predicted he was too strong in your other thread. Enjoy the moment my friend. A lot of people doubted Rafa but you stood by him.
