They made some mistakes , but I wouldn't write them off just yet. This same team is undefeated in their past 12 ( 10W 2D ) including a 1 - 0 away win over France recently.

If you go by FIFA World Rankings , Brazil are #10 and Jamaica are the highest ranked team in the tournament at #53. I think the ranking of #10 is far too generous and based on past history as opposed to anything recent. Brazil have lost 9 straight in all competitions , and Jamaica have only lost 2 in their last 10 , the one beating a 6 - 0 loss to the US a while ago. Although they are only friendlies, Jamaica has fared better then Brazil against common opponents like Scotland and Panama. Marta is a big name star in women's football , but she is now 33 and the goals are becoming scarce. Seems a worthwhile punt with 2.5 in the bank at kickoff.

I'm on Brazil, Argentina hasn't looked impressive and I don't see Brazil overlooking Argentina with her out, she's good but she's also old and the Brazil team has looked good recently, they were very competitive with the US.

Friendlies are hard to gauge because a lot of team sit players out, when jamaica played the US in a world cup qualifier they lost by nearly 5 goals. Brazil has been competitive with the US team and I don't see Marta as the same player at this age.

As I said initially , Marta is 33 and not the player she once was. If confidence matters to a team , losing 9 straight doesn't exactly make you feel like World Beaters heading into a big tournament. Getting 2.5 goals seems worth a punt to me as I said . Its day 3 of a month long tournament , and its only a 1 unit wager based on all the above.

Brazil seem determined to push players forward in attack. They could have scored 3 or 4 by now , but they could have easily given up 2 on the counter. Cant see how we don't get a minimum of 2 more in this game

Not too sure on that one yet. Australia looked lost on the back line. Italy created a number of turn overs by pressing that back 4 in possession. If Brazil play as they did today , they should score 3 minimum against Australia. I see the over being the play ( may have to back over 3 for a decent price )

Yeah agree, I don't think we'll likely see a 3 though, I think we'll get 3.5, Australia and Brazil both play very aggressively too and the Brazil goalkeeper didn't look great at times.
