Pads pen blew the game last to to the Phils. Nats on a 4 game win streak. I believe that is the most they had all year.
Padres are 1-0 with a birthday boy on the hill. Tonight Joey Lucchesi is on the hill
celebrating his birthday. I know this means nothing. OR does it??? LOL
Padres need to get thing turned around at home. I think Pads actually win tonight. They are hitting most game 1’s at home. I also think Lucchesi is pitching well.
Over his last four outings, Lucchesi is 1-1 with a 2.49 ERA. He has allowed only seven runs in 4 games with only 13 hits and three walks with 26 strikeouts in 25 1/3 innings for a 0.632 WHIP
Corbin doesn’t historically pitch great against the Padres. He is and has been this year a on and off type pitcher. He is 6-7 against the Padres in 19 games (14 starts) with a 4.24 ERA, a 1.350 WHIP.
