Having a discussion with the Big Dog/Boss a few months ago he told me he prefers non sports-related threads be given a chance and left in PT, unless totally out of line of course.

Which I've kinda always done for the most part anyhow.

This seems fair and probably in line with how most of us feel. We all post non-sports related shit in PT just to get more ppl involved. Many of the greatest threads on sbr were posted in pt and not sports related.

Definitely a broad range of overlap with PT and the Saloon. We have the subs for anyone wanting to talk sports or gambling specifically and nothing else

It’s great. Being from a former soviet republic, I can confirm that the living conditions etc were exactly as depicted in that show + Pripyat was a wealthy town/city compared to the other 90% of soviet towns.

This is an awesome show, but it's dark and depressing. Makes you wonder if it's even worse than depicted. Japan had a mess with that earthquake and was pouring that crap in the ocean, but you never hear about that....hmmm

Gosh if that's bad I'm not sure if I want to watch. I can try to laugh it off now but at the time it was really bad for us, especially as many that I knew (including my own family) were from the Ukraine and we didn't really have the proper Internet sense of how far away we were at the time. As I said our teacher was shit scared trying to tell us all would be well and yet we had that doom and gloom voice on the radio at the time. I guess because my hometown was so far up north so now I'm almost worried about what I'll see now 30 years later.

Man that was shit scary.
