This. And nobody will remember that, if KD was healthy playing every game and Curry was down with injury, this series never gets to game 6 and Warriors possibly get swept.

Not necessarily down 3-1.

Warriors win a close game 4. The series goes 7 and Durant absolutely destroys Toronto in the second half while Curry's stats are significantly worse in games 5-7 than 1-4. I think this is a plausible scenario. Not a 10% chance but better than 3-4%?

Also an MVP caliber player would be playing. When Isaiah Thomas got injured against the Lakers, he kept playing. Old school players wouldn't sit out games like KD has. KD wants to go to the Knicks and it influences Kerr's mindset in playing him.

I think it has more to do with it being a much more serious injury than Warriors have let on. Durant is still not cleared for contact so it's looking more and more like he's going to miss the entire series.

But funny you mentioned Isaiah Thomas, the guy with an almost identical name basically ruined his career by playing through an injury.
