The funny thing is that people are hook line and sinker on the record with out Durant. Media has played it up huge. They mention it every second they can. That record is good but it's only 5-0. He got hurt in game 5 vs Houston. I don't care about the regular season. Beating Portland isn't some accomplishment. Tor plays incredible defense. They are deep and versatile. This is the best team State has ever faced in the finals. It will be a great series.

this and the op are both very true. it's the best team they faced in finals because of depth. you can throw ibaka and gasol and they both got 20 in a game. fvv defense and clutch shots. danny green in 4th. cleveland nowhere near as much as a team. more lebron overachieving especially the 2 without kyrie. okc with kd was the best team they faced in the run. and kd left a better deeper team to go to a team he could beat. they only lost that series because of coaching.

I know most of you will be on State. The reality is that the raptors are very good with the best player in the NBA playoffs. I totally agree the warriors have the pedigree and curry and Klay etc. The one thing that is most important to recognize is that Durant will not play. He is adamant to make State look bad. This is the series where State needs him and he won't show up. He isn't even around the team. This guy has a huge ego.

Now to the series

Tor is just simply the worst possible matchup for the warriors. Leonard is a monster that State has never faced in the finals. I know some people will mention James but kawhi is just different. James was predictable. Kawhi is clearly the best player in the league. Tor is a better team vs State that won't have Durant. The warriors got away winning with role guys vs junk like Portland but that won't happen in this round.

i didn't watch kawhi much in san antonio as i found them boring. but kawhi has an ability to make his shot and get to his spots. he rarely settles. and his ability at the line causes problems lebron could only create on a fast break. people don't like comparing them, but the way kawhi finds his shots is so much like jordan. he takes whats there and creates space when needed. i think there are a few teams he could carry to the finals. i can see miami making a really hard push for him if he doesn't stay in canada. no one talks about miami as a destination, but why not? a couple personnel moves and he can do the same thing for miami he did for toronto.
