NBA is known to drag out their playoffs just in scheduling alone
of course it depends on sweeps

the NHL starts off with games played every other day, then goes to every 3 days
NBA starts off every 3 days

as for the match ups, most see the NHL teams as more competitive, so it should go longer

The NBA Finals has a weird schedule starting on Thursday and not playing game 2 until Sunday so I’d say NHL finishes first.

Yeah last year the nba was a sweep and still the nhl was over before it
