Look up how much the Braves have been paying Bruce Sutter. He last pitched for them in 1988.

The Mets are now 8.5 GB in the NL East, tied with the Nationals.

Hell no, don't fold them. They're a great fade team. Plus, guess what - no matter how many teams you have there are always going to be a few bad ones. Fold them and then a few more will appear.
When I used to have a real job, they were always threatening "below average" employees. (Yep, that was me!) Well guess what, Einstein - there are ALWAYS going to be below average employees. That's the fukking definition of average. Some are above, some are below. Keep firing the ones below average and you'll end up with zero (0) employees. Or maybe 1, I'm not sure.

That is an understatement. It also doesn't help when the front office goes out and spends a bunch of money on these free agents who are has been or that spend all season on the IL every season. Honestly can we get someone in charge that isn't a complete dipshit?
Only highlight of this season is watching Alonzo. Guy is so great.

I once saw the Phillies beat the Mets 26-7, Von Hayes 2 HR in first inning. THAT was some bad pitching.

Is he 2nd in the MLB in dingers as a rookie? Everyone blowing their load over Yelich season yet a rookie right behind him. Alonzo will shatter rookie homer records by the all star break and probably have 50+ dingers at this pace. He is the best hitter in the league on contact. Guy crushes everything. If he played for the Yankees everyone would be jerking him off like that strikeout king they had last year. Alonzo actually can get a base hit unlike dicknuts.

Tatis missed over a month with a hamstring injury but he can do everything on a baseball field to help win a game. Offensively, defense, running the bases he is must watch TV. I've been watching the Padres for 30 years and never seen a guy this talented coupled with off the charts baseball IQ and instincts.

The Mets suck but all the blame is on the wilpons. They are even worse than Dolan which is hard to fathom.
