I'm not sure what that is on the right, that's not my handy work.

The Left panel is an example of Spanning Tree, Specifically Juniper's implementation of Multi VLAN Rapid STP. You're welcome to read more about Spanning Tree here:

If you look closely you can see, in the diagram, which ports have entered a blocking state correctly and are blocking BPDU's (along with frames from other layers of the OSI model, more info here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OSI_model ).

As stated earlier in this thread, this isn't related to sports algos.
