NBA sources confirm the Rockets did not renew the contract of associate head coach Jeff Bzdelik.
Rockets defensive rating before Bzdelik came back :110.9
Rockets defensive rating after Bzdelik came back: 110.8
Their defense in the playoffs was mostly just flipping the switch. He didn't make any difference during the season.

According to sources owner Tilman Fertitta made the decision to pick up Rockets head coach Mike D’Antoni’s option for the 2019-20 season. Daryl Morey was never fully on-board, which is why he’s now firing Mike's assistants.
