These guys got swagger, BIG BATS, they steal bases, got good gloves & have the numbers necessary to appease the older heads who care about the box scores. And they are in Chicago & LA??? Idk. I grew up watching & playing hoops. Was deep into the game. Then I saw Bonds & young ARod penetrate the league up w 40/40 seasons and I was hooked. Dropped basketball almost entirely. Went from Iverson jerseys to Big Papi jerseys. Steroid era of baseball is equivalent to the era of basketball we are in now in the fact that it’s about big plays, sauce/swagger & stories. Take it like this if Bellinger got caught on camera diving deep into the sugar walls of a young IG model, folks curiosity would spike. Everyday folks are now interested. The attention has been grabbed & now the product is good enough to make you keep watching. It’s about attention.
