That number just looked weird to me when I was looking at the futures. Carr and Brown with a couple of scrubs can win 8 games.

Every year I play these mental gymnastics, and every year it's the same thing.
They are who we thought they were.
They are the Raiders.

It may as well be +19,500. It is NOT going to happen. However, if you are so sure, you can always fade them and give the line. Some fool out there will take it.

There are worse bets out there but their schedule is a killer.

If Mahomes gets injured, the AFC is wide open.

The Chargers are a better team and have a better coaching staff than the Chief's do. The Raiders would need the other three teams in the Division to forfeit every game for them to win that division.

Raiders can only get better from last year. They really stunk it up last year under Coach Chucky.
Carr also hasn't been the same QB since his leg snapped in half either.

Andy Reid would have to be skinny and the Chiefs would have to fall a long way before the Raiders win the division

Seems like every year there is a Division winner that nobody expected. Bears 2018, Rams 2017, etc etc. I am not saying that the Raiders are going to win but the line looked a little off at first glance. I actually think Titans to win AFC South at +700 is a better bet although I haven't shopped the line and there might be something better out there.

It a game of money in and money out.
They must have a lot of vegas locals making that bet.
So they look at all money in on futures to what they would have to pay out if something like this happened.
and casinos dont want to have what almost happened to The Golden Knights last season.

Yeah, that playoff run was one of their best shots until the leg break. They were doing ok despite the locker room difficulties.
I think they are still rebuilding, or just plain building.
The Gruden payoff comes down the road, maybe when they're in Vegas.
Once in Vegas, they may not be the same ole Raiders we've come to know and lose money on.

That's the only thing that really worries me is that it's so juicy with tons of sycophantic Raiders fans just drooling at the window to throw down their 100 bucks on a lottery ticket. I wonder though if the volume with fan bases is more on the SB Futures vs Divisional Futures - that would be interesting to know.

Vegas will not be giving long shot teams realistic odds. Too much exposure for the mba bean counters.

Is Carr still the qb? Brown is going to love getting open downfield only to have Carr throw a 3 yard check down to rb into the grass.

It was that year, Raiders were rolling and Carr was confident. Had a little something going on!! Then snap crackle pop!!! OUCH!!
Damn shame as I like David Carr, one of the good guys!!! Horrific injury, never fun when your foot is pointing in the wrong direction and hear those bones breaking up when it happens..

Raiders lose on purpose. Did against the Broncos and Dolphins early last year. The Gruden/McVay connection is sickening.

Oakland ain't winning the west but they do have two creampuffs coming up back to back (Bengals and Jets)
Then they go to KC and get bitch slapped 42-10.

That game in KC will likely be for the division so if you bet the raiders to win the division you probably have a nice scalp on that game.
