The problem with Räikkönen and Stroll is they will struggle to be top 10. Going for fastest lap will probably require the driver to make a sub-optimal stop or be in the top 6 with a massive time gap. Stroll has struggled in practice and is very unlikely to make Q3 so he should start on mediums and be a best strategy 1-stop. If he goes for 2 stops he's unlikely to be in the top 10.

Fastest lap is not a market I have a good handle on.

It's a fun lottery ticket market I guess. I just go for anyone who's odds are obviously out of line mid week.

Stroll has not lived up to expectations. But still liking the Kimi one. Personally I think 10th place is the most likely to go for it if they have the gap to change tyres, with only one point to risk. More than anyone in the top 6. But either way I like 66-1 on pretty much any car I think has a real chance of top 10.

I think possibly drivers like Gasly, Stroll and Kimi, who their teams have a strong interest in promoting are going to be the ones that make the late attempts to snatch fastest lap more often than others.

Obviously just guessing how this will all play out longer term, but so are the books so hoping that will give us a boost early in the year.

Is Bottas going to hold the lead over Lewis this week? I think I will bet he does not hold lead by end of lap 1 possibly.

I think they are still going to better on tires than Merc for the race and have a good chance of making it a Ferrari one-two still. If they can come up with a good strategy and run it clean for once!

Leclerc could well change to a two stop strategy if he does not make up places off the start I think.

Which would make him most likely to take that fastest lap too, out of the top runners.

Taking day off, been betting nonstop lately and on one of best runs in my life. Need a day or two off to clear my head, no dumb decisions. Going hiking and kayaking tomorrow.

I'm standing pat. I'm not thrilled by the betting positions I hold but I don't see value in the odds available. Leclerc is +125, (too short - true price is +140+), for a podium from 9th place and Verstappen is a bigger podium price now than he was in midweek starting 4th with Leclerc 9th and Gasly at the back. That tells me I read the situation correctly but it'll be little consolation if/when he finishes 5th or maybe 4th. Albon for fastest lap at +25000 would be a $2 interest bet. meh. Let it play out.

Very nice race so far.

Leclerc impressive, I think it will be between him and Bottas.

I thought it was a bit of a vanilla race and not too exciting.

Ferrari did not work well on the soft tyres and Mercedes were just faster and better than expected in race trim.

I expected the medium tyres to be good. I didn't expect teams to make them last 38+ laps in cooling temperatures. I was expecting Leclerc to close in the last 10 laps and be in great shape if a safety car was needed. meh. I don't think the top 5 did anything wrong and it's tough to make up positions on a level playing field. The damage was done in Q2. As a race it was spoiled by the conservative choice of 4, 3, & 2 tyres rather than bringing the 5, 4, & 2 or 5, 3, & 2.

Agree. Without a safety car the order at top was not going to change.

It's making it tougher not expecting Lewis to beat Bottas and Vettel to beat Leclerc most races like previous years.
