Ace? He's one of the worst pitchers in 2018 and projections see more of the same this year. He had a bizarre 2017 though where he had a good ERA but peripherals were all horrible.

I suppose he can be the ace for the Orioles since they have one of the worst pitching staffs in baseball

Gio Gonzalez is indeed opting out of his contract with the Yankees. New York will have 48 hours to either add him to the roster or grant him his release. If he’s added, he’ll earn $3M base salary plus $300K per start.
