Life as a full-time sports "investor" starts today.
    My story:
Sold a business in 2015 that I had franchised ... so receive enough in royalties to live on ... girlfriend makes bank.
Hit a big daily-fantasy jackpot last July ... doubled it up over the course of the year.
Quit working all together a few weeks back to work full-time on poker/DFS/'capping.
Will track results here: http://phillipkessel.mysbrforum.com/spreadsheet/ for anyone interested in seeing what full-time playing looks like ... otherwise see ya at the 3PM poker tourneys.

Assuming that's sarcasm. And that's ok. I have realistic expectations.

I started a retail business ... wife [at-the-time] was married to her job, so said f*ck it and went all in ... people liked it - I got lucky - franchising was an accident. Got it up to five locations - now I just collect checks.

                            Best wishes.

Tracking picks, recording spreads and prices can be quite the hassle. It takes focus & time away, especially a pro. It may invite debate as you will record the better numbers that are not available to everyone else. Debate may also take focus and time away. Give em hell.

This is so true. Posting plays as they are generated can be a bitch and I often post worse numbers than I got because that's what's out there when I post. I try to be genuine.

It's a whole hassle that readers may not realize. I hate when SBR tracking is off from my regular tracking, even if just by a few cents.

                              Pain in the ass.

I didn't say that I haven't been extremely lucky along the way - winning a DFS contest with 22k+ entries with a single entry is damn-near equivalent to winning the lottery. Grinded poker, DFS and sports from there ... TBD.

To become a professional sports bettor you must first spend 30 days in the Think tank, posting nowhere else, absorbing what the SBR math geniuses use religiously. Lock yourself away, study, listen and observe. You must construct a model and focus your bets on 1-2 sports to start out. Do not forget to backtest constantly. Learning some coding to pull and analyze data efficiently is a must as well.

HA. Just the 4 major US sports and soccer.
... but always been curious about how ppl bet on darts and snooker. Seems like they would be easier to fix than tennis.
