#9This guy an idiot. He thought the bet was suppose to be $85, or $8,500, but not $850,000. He just completely didn't think that $850 was a possibility. Just straight from $85 to $8,500....Comment -

#10Bogdanovich called his boss to discuss the wager before accepting it. Previously, William Hill's largest wager for a golf future was in the $10,000 to $25,000 range from loyal customers at smaller odds, with the largest possible payout being in the $300,000 range, Bogdanovich said.

#30Read an interesting article that probably explains why WH accepted the bet.
If you remove the name Tiger Woods and just looked at his performance on paper, odds would dictate around 25 to 1. Since oddsmakers knew Tiger, Rory and a few others would be heavily bet, they were juiced a lot more. So if you consider 25 to 1 to be true odds, that warrants a long term hold of roughly 40% and why a book would accept a larger than typical bet.
Still, very impressive and good day for golf bettors. It’s about time a golf fav made the books pay for once.Comment -

Now the odds on Tiger Woods going forward are going to be ridiculously short, again, instead of just really short.
