Not sure what's been mentioned so far in this thread but my 2 cents...

3 months for a bigger prize is good but not at 5 tournies a week at 1+ hours each. Its too much. A lot of people don't have the time to play daily and even for some that do they probably get tired of it real fast. Run tournies 5 days a week but cap it out at 3 max entries per week. Just my opinion. I know for me when i did try to play 5 days a week i didnt enjoy it at all and by the time the contest was ending I was probably down to 2 nights a week

I've pretty much stopped playing because of the time needed to invest, but if shorter tourneys like 4-6 weeks or capped at the 3 entries per week or only your top 3 scores for the week count would make it more possible to stay involved

Do something different this summer. Like instead of who has the most cashed points to go to the final, make it so only those who have wins qualify. Therefore we don't need to play every day to accumulate points. You get a win and you qualify for finals.

Agree Big Orange. Fuk that World Cup bullshit! All it does is give an unfair advantage to foreign teams who don’t have to do shit to qualify. It becomes a fuk’in grind fest for the two American teams who must play every fuk’in day to try and win spot. It sucks big time, anything but another World Cup!

Lets run a points entry fee qualifiers for trips to the WSOP. That way you get serious players who really want a shot at going. All entry fees would be pooled toward entries to a WSOP event. Doesn’t have to be the main event either, there are a number of events any SBR pro poker would be thrilled to play in.

Riegs every PRO member is invited to attend. It goes without saying that guys who’ve committed to prior out of country bashes should get some priority over others. With that being said, there’s always room for all who want to attend & SBR puts on an amazing show.

I might be able to find the time to do 1 month or shorter, but longer than that is too much of an investment in time for me.

Yeah the shorter qualifying period makes it more worth the time.

Lets just look at the last one. 3 months = 13 weeks X 5 days a week = 65. Lets just say you invest/waste an hour for 65 daily tourneys.

Well only 4th place and above won actual cash! So I was 4th for $200, divided by 65 hours = $3 and change per hour.

I made $3 an hour for over 65 hours of play, and I had to finish 4th to do that!

I have a lot of free time, but f I had anything better to do with my time, (LOL) then it would never be worth the aggravation!

Just do a month long thing so maybe 4th place and above can AT LEAST make over $5 per hour invested in it! LOL

Four teams are filled the usual way, through daily qualifying. Drew just picks 11 guys/girls from the office and/or from the 'celebrities' like whale capper etc. They are too busy to grind daily for 20 bet points so they get a pass.

SBR asking for suggestions is not a new thing of course, but the main guy who seems to be involved with this basically outright saying that World Cup "most likely won't happen" - don't recall that occurring before, perhaps more probable this year that it will not. Granted no guarantee, he himself says "most likely" which definitely isn't the same thing as "certain" so only time will tell!
