SHELBYVILLE, Ind. (AP) Sports betting is underway in Indiana, with Gov. Eric Holcomb placing a bet at the Indiana Grand Racing & Casino in Shelbyville.
Holcomb on Sunday placed a $10 bet for the Colts to win the Super Bowl, a $10 bet for the Pacers to win the NBA Championship and a $10 bet for the Indiana Fever to win Sunday's game against the Minnesota Lynx.
Sports betting also opened at Ameristar Casino in East Chicago and the Hollywood casino in Lawrenceburg.
Most of Indiana's 13 state-regulated casinos and all three off-track betting parlors plan on offering sports betting by the end of September. They expect to attract gamblers from neighboring states where sports wagers aren't allowed.
The Indiana Gaming Commission has approved the Horseshoe Hammond casino to start taking wagers on Wednesday. The French Lick Resort has approval for opening its sportsbook on Friday.

It looks like French Lick will be with Rush Street Interactive and BetRivers.com when the turn on the mobile.

So you have to go and set up an account at the actual book right? As in go to FL then register, then you can use the mobile?

I think that we have to go in person to start since the mobile is at least a month away. They are still keeping most folks who work there in the dark about it though as my host still doesn't know many details. We are going over there for the weekend of Sept. 14/15 so hope to get more mobile details then.

Getting paid fast. Cash same day or same week. Free payout.--- Far outweighs offshore hassle.

Heading to French Lick this evening. Was at Tropicana in Evansville yesterday during my lunch break and they had to continue to push out the opening due William Hill software issues.

THe sportsbook at Hollywood is a pretty crappy set-up. It's basically in the back of a restaurant, and you have tons of people just there to eat right in the middle, with folks looking right over top of them screaming at the TV's. They did have 5 ticket writers, and have tons of kiosks..........so the wait is never bad to place a wager or cash a ticket. Hoping Belterra and Rising Star have a more traditional book atmosphere.

The FanDuel Sportsbook at Blue Chip Casino in Michigan City is pretty big. It’s located where the Vegas nightclub was as you walk in. It’s smoke free which is nice. The dividing wall between the nightclub and the sports bar was tore out, really opened up the area. They really need an odds board by the desk when you bet. They don’t use rotation numbers, it really slows things down. The kiosks are fine, most were noobs there and used the staff for bets. The mobile app will really help there.

So do you need a fan duel account to make mobile wagers? What other type of accounts can you use? Don't know if my terminology is off. Just want to drive in from Ohio to make online wagers.

Can you sign up and deposit from out of state so everything’s all set once you visit Indiana to make bets ?

From DK's FAQ...
"8) Can I make deposits or withdrawals in a state that does not permit sports gambling?
Yes, you can still make a deposit or withdraw your funds in a state that does not allow sports gambling. However, you will not be able to make a real money bet in a state does not allow sports wagering at this time. "

How did you make your withdrawal? I see 3 options. Check, Paypal, Cage. I'm not really that close to the casino so I want the quickest mobile way.
