Beautiful day for baseball in stl, pads throwing out a pitcher who throws a lot of average fastballs, cards should tee off. More importantly I think wacha past shoulder struggles that have appear to been handled (shoulder was fine when he went down w some fluke thing last year) have made him underrated, his numbers when his shoulder is healthy are boarder line elite, he was the only cards starter who put up a good showing vs milw and his change looked as filthy as ever. He has almost posted better numbers in day games and had a excellent record in his career at home.

You don’t hear me say this with favs real often (2days ago w atl and yesterday w Dodgers) but tons of value in this number. I got -115 but anything in the -120 range a bargain!!

The line opened high then moved into what appeared to be value on St. Louis, which was quickly snapped up, but then the dog was taken back pretty quickly on that move.

Line is pretty sharp here but SD +120 or more might be the market play.

Of course, anything can happen on the field.

Cards are his team though, he could be a bit bias. Don’t get me wrong 2dabank is one of the best mlb cappers but this one screams no play when you got LT and several other +ev cappers on padres. It’s first month baseball more +EV plays on dogs.

I was obviously harsh in my initial post, he clearly a strong prospect who has a very highly rated change up, actually has a scouting report I’d say is pretty similar to wacha’s was when he was coming up. He will learn as wacha did he is gonna have to develop at least one more serviceable pitch to be able to consistently get thru lineups the 2nd and 3rd time. Wacha has a cutter and a curve that has starting to be more a weapon than the liability it was when he 1st started throwing it.

My comments weren’t really meant to be discouraging of him, just that a young 2 pitch guy who throws a ton of 4 seamers is very likely to give up few jacks to this cards lineup. He probably strike out 10 tho!! I just think at these points in their careers wacha has put it all together and the only thing that can prevent him from being a all star level pitcher is injury. While this youngster still has some learning needs another plus pitch to reach that level.,

I would never make a bet or post it just being a homer, sure I’m a cards fan but above all I’m a fan of myself and my money!! You will see me against them plenty when I feel the price warrants it., everyone loses at least 60 games a season, no biggie., in playoffs yea I turn into a homer and make it clear.

Dunno bout tight, inconsistent as shit more accurate. I’ve seen him squeeze both guys on edges then call strikes on pitches 2 inches low or high.

Shildt really annoys me when he lets his starter bat in a great rbi spot when the starter not sharp and wasn’t gonna go more than 1 more inning anyways. Cards coulda busted the game open when bases were juiced in bottom 4th and that reliever could only get a meatball fastball over for a strike yet he let wacha bat.
