bullpen is rock solid..

starting staff does not have much experience but a ton of talent...keep an eye on Chris Paddack and Matt Strahm, both will surprise this year mark my words. Lucchesi and Lauer had pretty good season last year as rookies.

no, I think they will be around .500 this season but a very exciting squad to watch. Agreed that next year is the year they start getting really good and contending for wild card spot. I do think they improve at least 10 wins from last season.

yep, he is the crown jewel of their pitching prospects. There are a lot more on the way in the next couple of years as well.

I agree wth this. The Padres r not gonna be in a playoff race this year. Would of been better have the extra year of control over him.

hopefully they lock him up for awhile in the coming years and make it a moot point.

If he is as advertised you right it shouldn’t matter. Seems more and more teams look to get these guys on a new deal before end of their control anyways, benefits both, player gets money sooner and team avoids paying thru the roof.
