I would only spend $2 for 1 ticket just for minimum amount for lottery action.
If you played the lottery before, no need to spend more than $10 to $100 on tickets because it's going to lose those high amounts.
Lotteries has an extremely high losing rate. With $2, you're only losing $2.

I tried the Lotto for years when the pots were massive.., I pulled out all the stops back in the day like a fool..

Lit a fire, did a rain dance, tried to get super drunk and baked and become one with the universe and guess up those magical numbers.

Best I could ever do is 3 number hits for 90 bucks.. Probably dumped $5000 or more in the lotto tickets over the years thinking I was blessed and golden.. Guess what I wasn't..

Nobody hit it. It's now $625 million with a $380.6 million lump sum option (pre-tax: So multiply that number by 1-(.37+ state tax rate) to get the rough take home number).

Edited my post, best I ever hit I think was 3 numbers out of 5 for 90 bucks one time.. Never hit 4 numbers I don't think.. Played every week for 5 years straight if I remember.. I said after 5 years if I didn't hit I'm done..

I'm done as I didn't hit! Will never buy a lotto ticket again.. I won't...

I’m bad at math. You only end up with like 220-230 mil? I’ll take it but the lotto is such a ripoff. It’s worth it for 2 bucks. Never have spent more than 10 bucks on it.

Yep, my state I calculated about $221 million. The biggest scam is the jackpot they advertise is if you took a 30 annuity (the number is what they calculate they'll pay you if they took the lump sum money and put it in bonds over 30 years). I wish they would only just advertise the lump sum option, I'll invest the money myself.

But we know they do the annuity number because it's a bigger number.

Only suckers play lotto. Donate the money to charity instead at least you'll know deep down inside your heart it's going to a good cause. Lottery with massive jackpots likely have predetermined winners. Don't tell anyone else though, keep it on the down low.

Eight tickets matched all five white balls, but missed matching the red Powerball in Saturday’s drawing to win a $1 million prize. The $1 million-winning tickets were sold in Florida, Illinois, North Carolina, North Dakota, New Hampshire, New York (2) and South Carolina. Two other tickets, sold in Florida and Wisconsin, matched all five white balls and doubled the prize to $2 million, because the tickets included the Power Play option for an additional $1. In total, there were more than 3.7 million winning tickets across all prize tiers.
