HARRISBURG — The third full month of legal sports betting in Pennsylvania saw gambling flatten.

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board said gamblers bet $31.5 million in February at five casinos and one off-track betting parlor where it approved sports betting. That was slightly lower than $32 million in January, which had three more days in it.

Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh led the way with $8.1 million in bets, trailed closely by SugarHouse Casino in Philadelphia with $7.1 million in bets. The casinos made nearly $2 million, while $700,000 went to taxes.

For comparison, New Jersey's casino and racetrack-based sports books took in $320 million worth of bets in February, down from $385 million in January.
