do you mean like when you click on it you get an error message that says "cannot nominate post" or "sorry, something went wrong" or "oops, there was an error"...or something like that, right?

Has to be your ad blockers and or browser.. Was a problem for me as you all know becoming a PRO.. SBR doesn't like Firefox browser and or certain ad blockers all combined..

For me the combination of Firefox browser, Ad blocker + and Macafee virus protection really messed things up for me on SBR with pop ups and other stuff.. That combination is a NO NO...

You are nominating too close to making a previous post.

There is cool down between posts of something like 20 seconds. When you nominate a post you are effectively creating a new post. If you had posted within the last 20 seconds, you will get an error until that time is up.

By the time you hit the third try, your 20 seconds are up.

This, DDD, is what is happening to you.

I recommend spending those 20 seconds between posts with, perhaps, some stretching...
