Just off first glance I lean Gonzaga, Auburn and Michigan State. Tech and Michigan is tough, those teams are almost identical.

Tech/much Under 126.5 baby!! 1st to 60 wins that one imo. Just can’t decide if I should wait? Most the year anytime I pull trigger on these 120s unders the line creeps up so I’ve mostly started waiting on them.

I think LSU/sparty gonna be a last possession type game.

Guys I’m pretty convinced the Zags are the play here. Florida State is going to be a public dog. They’re a really good team but I feel strongly that Gonzaga gets their revenge of last year’s upset.

Texas Tech and Michigan is a toss up game. Both teams are extremely well-coached and play a disciplined brand of basketball. We’re probably looking at a game in the 50s or 60s that will be decided in the late stages.

I’ve been high on Houston for quite some time. I know they’ve been ranked top 15 most of the year but I still feel as though they’re somewhat under the radar. They can win this region. It will probably take beating Kentucky and then UNC which is quite a task but they have the athletes and experience to get it done. They are one of the most energetic teams left. They don’t have a ton of size but they get up and down the floor and do a great job of attacking the paint and the glass.

I really like this Houston team. They remind me a lot of the OU squad that went to the Final Four in 2002....probably because they are coached by Kelvin Sampson and have Hollis Price and Quannis White on staff.

They’ve been ranked high all year but no one is talking about them.

If they beat Kentucky and UNC back to back this team could make it all the way to the title game.

PS. When did Wizzle get so good at gambling. All he does is win now.

Houston to win Midwest Region +425 (1x)

I regret not taking this earlier on as I really considered it strongly before the tournament but ultimately I haven’t sacrificed too much value. Pre-tourney they were in the neighborhood of 5/1. Houston plays hungry and aggressively. I definitely like their chances over Kentucky and then if they play UNC, I give them a puncher’s chance. It’s the NCAA Tournament - it would not be a shock to see a team of Houston’s caliber make the Final Four.

Side note, I really like UNC to take care of Auburn. I was high on Auburn because their strengths (3pt shooting, forcing turnovers) matched up great with Kansas’ weaknesses. But UNC protects the ball and guards the 3 better, and UNC will dominate the offensive glass.

I agree but it wouldn’t surprise me to see them be upset. Their style is so loose — it usually results in them overwhelming their opponent but every now and then they put themselves behind the 8 ball.
