The philosopher? Or the soccer player?

I think Socrates was on the great Brazil team that DIDN'T win World Cup. Lost to Italy, I think.
Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?

Yes what a match that was.

Surprised no one mentioned Johan Cruyff

Becks is my favorite winger ever... he played more midfield leaning on the right but yes, best passer and one of the best free-kick takers with a unique style to kick the ball

                  same with Rivaldo imo

Becks was so unique. On the one hand, he was a global icon. One of the most recognizable faces on the planet.

But he was a true professional, imho. Great skill-set on ball-striking. And he played his guts out any time he suited up for England.

He was amazing when in the EPL with ManU, always seemed like a good leader

As a Hotspur fan I'd go with Gazza.
Never liked ManU, but enjoyed watching Paul Scholes play.

[FONT=Arial]My favorite is not among this list ... Cristiano Ronaldo is the best player of all time. Did you see how he saved Juventus ? Come back is real! I have an interesting site about him who is interested in reading about him and his life.
