If people still go to games without a good team, why should he spend more? Not saying its right but from a business perspective if sales are strong why offer a huge promotion? If people have a problem with him as the owner and view him as "stealing money" from ticket buyers, then people should stop attending games.

Many people seem to have this quasi view of sports teams. The end goal is to make money. It is not a government where the team MUST produce strong results or fail. It is the bottom line. If people are upset with the Knicks, stop going to games. Stop being a fan.

As a fan, I would think its awful to not try improving your team but from a business perspective if sales are good whether I have a strong team or not and if the market is inelastic (economics), then why bury yourself financially to create a monster team. For example I would imagine the Knicks market has been more consistent in sales than the Golden State warriors over the past decade. After GS acquired their mega team, sales skyrocketed sure. Knicks are a legacy team thus, more consistency in sales.

Nowhere was it said he must bury himself financially to create a monster team. Well if they're going to be falsely accusing me of things I'm going to stand up for myself if the exact opposite is true, which it is - and I'm not going to care what you or anyone else thinks about me doing that. I paid real money to someone I don't even know and am accused of being a prick to a guy by a guy who said he would do the same but never does, and another who only spews airbets, name calling, and other dumbass nonsense all over the forum and you want me to just take that. What I did was very cool - and yes it's very cool of others to have done so as well - though you don't see anyone accusing anyone else of ever trying to be hurtful to the guy.
