MET HOF Tom Seaver diagnosed with dementia
NEW YORK — Hall of Fame pitcher Tom Seaver has been diagnosed with dementia and has retired from public life. The family of the 74-year-old made the announcement Thursday through the Hall. They say Seaver will continue to work in the vineyard at his home in California.Seaver has limited his public appearances in recent years. He didn't attend the Baseball Writers' Association of America dinner in January when members of the New York Mets' 1969 World Series championship team were honored. This makes me sadder than the Trebek news in my opinion.

The more and more I study from different websites.... low Testosterone seems to be linked to Dementia. And/or slow processing of brain function.

But, I guess we're all going to eventually die of something.

Is that why the girls called him Tom Terrific? He was like Namath from that era?

I always thought Ted Danson's character on Cheers was modeled after Seaver.

Barry Bonds father , Booby Bonds , once described Seaver’s fastball like a 747 going up.

Caught him late in his career, had his cards.
Went to a ton of RedSox games as a kid, but never saw him live.

I think he was describing the speed not the ball actually going up.

                                    Good luck
