Last weekend in Houston I got to play poker with Sammy Farha & Adrian Peterson

It was a really cool experience. Growing up watching high stakes poker, I was always a fan of Farha. That hand against Jamie Gold AA vs KK I'll never forget.The dealers however, disagreed. Apparently hes an asshole.

AP was a cool dude, we were all playing 1-3 PLO, him and a retired NBA player, forget his name, were playing. We had a good discussion on places to move to and where he enjoyed visiting. Was at Lion's poker palace. Great fun place, highly recommend. Walked out at closing to catch an uber, two 100k+ cars parked right there of course.

Would say it was one my favorite trips but I bubbled their $25k guarantee, 10 paid, came in 11.

Who have you played with in poker that was somewhat famous? Only other person I've played with was Phil Hellmuth, 10/25 NLHE briefly.

Its actually true. Call up Lions poker palace, apparently the owner is very well known among celebrities there. Sammy Farha plays several times a week there and AP every so often. Not kidding. Has me wanting to go back there just for that experience again.

He got paid off with a full house at the end to finish up. The NBA player was stuck a bit. Sadly never played any big pots with them as I was transferred to the main game a lil after they sat down.

why is this story unbelievable to so you jealous facks? Celebs like to gamble also. I've played with so many I've lost count. During spring training I'd play with baseball players every other day when I lived in zona. Montell Williams would always think he was hot shiat and everyone hated his guts. Guy was such a prick. Dominique wilkins was a huge a hole as well

Didn't see any celebs but pretty much all the pros were there when I was playing there about 10 years ago. Played with many but honestly can't even remember too many specifics. Too many to name. I remember Bobby Bellande though he was a bit of a character

Farha is a well known dealer abusing Dbag. I’ve personally seen him throw cards at the dealer so hard they cut the guys knuckles and have heard so many similar stories it’s ridiculous.

Many A and B-D listers do play there as well as the Bike, but average joes like us are not invited. I know Toby Maguire hosts a semi regular game upstairs at the Commerce that makes all the regs drool but it’s an exclusive list thats basically impossible to get on unless you know the right people.

1) As I said before, both of them are close friends with the owner of Lions. I’m sure they play in big games too but they just wanted quick fun. AP for example arrived at like 1am, stay 1.5-2hrs.

2) 1/3 PLO is not like the boring game of 1/3 NLHE 100-500$ buyin. I saw a guy run $700 into $22k at jack Cleveland casino in January 1/2 PLO.
Max buyin for the 1/3 PLO at Lions was $1000 here. It plays deep.

Also if any of you want to play PLO during SBR bash, let’s start a list. NLHE is so boring, no action, everyone tighter than a virgin’s pussy. PLO you get your stack in every hour or two. More fun.
