Honestly Jibbby..... -410 or -365.... it really doesn't make a difference. Pick the game that you want... let it rip.

If you feel the -410 is going to win... then go for it. Don't worry about the juice. You're already risking a sh#$load each game anyways. Extra 45 dollars won't make a difference.

This one one tightened up after a 3-0 Pitt lead.. Little nervous but like I said these teams find ways to win in regulation.. Both do not go into OT often in this road/home game scenario.. We'll see? Still alot of hockey to play out..

Columbus vs Pitt, both teams have been allergic to OT games lately.. Neither team has sniffed OT in a very long while. Columbus actually have been shutting out teams at home lately and winning by double digits.. I don't see this one being close.

I've been winning playing them game after game now with the NO OT plays and winning. Lines are absurdly jacked today on Dimes from what I'm seeing.. I got a feeling this thread could be the cause of that. I'm not happy about this!!! Just not seeing normal lines today on Dimes

I hope I'm wrong. I got a good thing going with these bets for a while and I don't wanna see -400 lines day after day on all games now when I have always been seeing the lines set around -350.. Today was not normal opening line odds from what I'm use to seeing on Dimes.

I've seen lines move with MMA props because of high volume threads over the years so it's not out the question if hundreds start max betting these NO OT abstract bets on dimes and the opening lines then begin to adjust.. Volume losses increases for the books line odds increase to offset..

Action moves line odds.

go back and look at your nine picks almost all of them were big moneyline favorites to win where the line was close to -400 and when the line was close they were like -300

you can almost figure out the OT line by using the ML of the game, I just peaked at it and you see the connection, there seems to be no capping just seems to be they have a number for the OT from the moneyline. it looks like to me it plays slightly into the total as well

example

100 is -280
-150 is -340
-200 is -400

something like that

Yes you are probably correct.. The higher the game line is the greater the line will be with NO OT bets that's for sure.. I did know that but the straights were not that glaring from what I could see today to justify the -400 + NO OT opening bet lines..

If you look over this thread mostly every bet I placed and won was is in the -350 range, some of those straight lines in those bets were also around the -200 range if I recall correctly..

We'll see tomorrow. You're probably right though..

I tend to cap lean only 5 to 7 games back in most major sports including NHL as in what have you done for me lately.

I don't really care about months ago, yearly averages, and or team historical trends that go way back. I think that's irrelevant. It's all about how teams are playing now.

With NO OT betting - I do take into consideration back to back nights with travel, OT shootouts on back to backs, current team history play, injury reports, past match ups between teams, current W/L streaks with teams, who's playing dominate and winning or losing by large margins, road/home trend play, which teams are not trending to OT games recently, etc..

I can get all that off Yahoo sports as silly as that sounds.. It's all right there. The write ups aren't that bad either for the basics.. I'll also use rotowire for other reports and trends I might miss on yahoo. https://www.rotowire.com/hockey/

I was trying to show you the way wins and losses flow at -360 avg, so you can see winning 10 in a row or 15 is very common. its the 3 out of 5 ties that kill you. the numbers just work their way back to 75%

Nothing is ever easy with Calgary but they just have a knack for holding on to small leads in regulation.. Look at their history.. Defense is solid..

That's why I played them at half throttle with this bet.. Cash it though. I should have played them to win a $100 as usual but got spooked with their constant close wins and those big odds.

Both these teams aren't prone to going into OT lately, either team is winning by a bunch or losing by bunch in regulation lately. I don't see this game going to OT, unfortunately either do the odds makers..

Odds are crap at -400 but I like this game the best to cash on the entire schedule today. I think Columbus at home scores a bunch of goals in this game and wins in regulation. Columbus is one of those teams that really doesn't see OT very often this season and especially at home anyways.
